Joseph Nutcracker ES1810

According to biblical accounts, the figure of Joseph was the favorite son of Jacob. As a symbol of Jacob's love, he gave Joseph a magnificent coat of many colors. As most of Israel was wearing drab, pale clothing at the time, you can see that Joseph surly stood out among the crowd! His jealous brothers sold poor Joseph as a slave in Egypt. Through his talent for dream analysis and story- telling, Joseph elevated himself and became an important advisor to the Pharaoh of Egypt. By analyzing the Pharaoh's dream, Joseph predicted an upcoming famine and was able to save all of Egypt from destruction. The story ends on a pleasant note when Joseph is reunited with his brothers (having forgiven them) and his father who was devastated when he thought Joseph was dead. Joseph and His Dreamcoat Nutcracker, continued the popular Steinbach Biblical Nutcracker Series as it honored and celebrated another wonderful and famous biblical character.
